COVID-19: Vaccine Information

Spring Dose for Eligible Residents:
Eligible residents who have NOT received a COVID-19 vaccine within the last 6 months are encouraged to receive a dose this Spring. Eligible residents include:
- Adults 65 years of age or older
- Adult residents of long-term care homes or other senior congregate living settings (ex. Retirement residences)
- Those 55 years of age or older who identify as First nations, Métis, or Inuit and their non-Indigenous household members who are 55 years of age or older
- Those 6 months of age or older who are moderately to severely immunocompromised
- Speak with your healthcare provider if you are uncertain about your health status and eligibility
If you have not received ANY COVID-19 Vaccine in the past:
All residents over the age of 6 months who have not received a COVID-19 vaccine are eligible for a primary series (2 doses).
Residents who are not eligible at this time are asked to wait for further guidance about receiving another dose.

It is important as a parent or guardian to inform yourself and your child before making the personal decision to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Learn more about the COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 6 months to under 12 years:

Registering a Dose Received Out of Province
Those who have received a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine outside of Ontario and need to register it, will need to go through a registration process. To begin this process please contact Peterborough Public Health through one of the following methods:
- Complete the online registration form here: Registry for Out of Province Vaccination OR
- Email immunizationrecords@peterboroughpublichealth.ca
Please provide the following details:
- Name, phone number, and email address
- Reason for calling or emailing
- Brand of vaccine received
- Date dose(s) had been administered
NOTE: this is not a short process; it may take up to 30 days to hear back from Peterborough Public Health. Please be patient.
You can book a vaccine appointment through the provincial vaccine booking system if you have an Ontario Health card. If you choose to do this, you MUST bring physical proof (CANNOT be an electronic copy) of your out of province dose.
