Revised Extended Hours for COVID-19 Questions at Peterborough Public Health Begin April 6

Public Health Nurses Available After Hours Until 6 p.m. Monday-Friday Easter Long Weekend Hours Announced for April 10-April 13 Inclusive

Peterborough Public Health (PPH) announced today that there will be a change to its extended hours for calls and emails related to COVID-19.

Beginning today, residents can contact a Public Health Nurse Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. These hours have been adjusted to match current call and email volumes at PPH.

PPH Hours for Easter Long Weekend:

For residents with COVID-19-related questions over the Easter long weekend, the PPH will be taking calls and emails between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. from Friday, April 10 to Monday, April 13 inclusive. Regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. resume Tuesday, April 14.

During these times Public Health Nurses will be available to consult with residents on the COVID-19 hotline 705-743-1000, ext. 401 or by email at covid19@peterboroughpublichealth.ca. After these hours, residents are asked to call Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000 or TTY number at 1-866-797-0007 for medical advice. Residents are also encouraged to use the Ministry of Health’s self-assessment tool if they are concerned about their symptoms. This is available on www.peterboroughpublichealth.ca on the home page under “Do I Have COVID-19?”.

Those who are having difficulty breathing or who have other urgent symptoms should call 911 for immediate medical attention.
