Extended Hours for COVID-19 Questions

Changing to Monday – Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Peterborough Public Health (PPH) announced today that due to the decreasing volume of COVID-19-related inquiries there will be a change to its extended operating hours.
Beginning Saturday, April 25, residents can contact Peterborough Public Health Mondays through Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Residents with symptoms can consult with a Public Health Nurses either by calling 705-743-1000 or by email at email@example.com. All other COVID-19 inquiries will be triaged and responded to by the appropriate staff person. Outside of these hours, residents may leave a voicemail message, which will be responded to the following business day.
After these hours, residents are asked to call Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000 or TTY number at 1-866-797-0007 for medical advice. Residents are also encouraged to use the Ministry of Health’s self-assessment tool if they are concerned about their symptoms. This is available on www.peterboroughpublichealth.ca on the home page under “Do I Have COVID-19?”.
Those who are having difficulty breathing or who have other urgent symptoms should call 911 for immediate medical attention.
