New One-Day Clinics Planned in the County
New Hours for PRHC Assessment Centre and Kinsmen Drive-Through Clinic

In alignment with the recently released provincial COVID-19 testing strategy, local healthcare partners announced changes to how local residents can access testing.
The drive-through clinic at the Kinsmen Civic Centre for residents without symptoms will continue until at least Friday, June 12, operating from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day, including the weekend. Since opening, this clinic has tested more than 2,000 people, averaging 260 each day. This clinic is regularly evaluated and may adjust operations based on demand. Please check back often to www.peterboroughpublichealth.ca for updates.

To service rural residents without symptoms, three new one-day clinics have been announced. All clinics are available as drive-through/walk-in, no appointment necessary:

  • Friday, June 5 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Hiawatha First Nation L.I.F.E. Centre (only for residents living south of the Hiawatha First Nation checkpoint)
  • Saturday, June 6 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Curve Lake School (Curve Lake First Nation residents only)
  • Monday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Township of North Kawartha at the Apsley Paramedic Base, located beside the North Kawartha Medical Centre at 183 Burleigh Street, Apsley (open to all permanent and seasonal residents)

Other locations throughout the County are currently being coordinated and will be announced shortly.

Beginning Monday, June 8, the hours for the COVID-19 Assessment Centre at Peterborough Regional Health Centre will change to 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, seven days a week. Please contact the COVID-19 Assessment Centre at 705-876-5086 to book an appointment if you have mild symptoms of COVID-19.
