March 13, 2015 – Agreement Ratified by Board of Health and CUPE Members
After this week’s conciliation session, Peterborough Public Health announced this morning that it reached a new collective agreement with CUPE members.
The Board of Health ratified the agreement at Wednesday’s board meeting. CUPE members also ratified their agreement last night, confirming the three-year contract with annual wage increases of 0.5%, 0.5% and 3%.
“We are very pleased that our CUPE members supported the new contract,” said Dr. Rosana Salvaterra. “This means that the Board of Health has successfully reached new agreements with all of our unionized employees to ensure there will be no disruption to the public health services that keep our community safe and healthy.”
