New Three-Year Contract Approved by Both Parties

Today the Board of Health for the County and City of Peterborough ratified the tentative agreement reached on Monday with the Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA).

Now that both parties have ratified the agreement, the three-year contract is in effect and aligns with collective agreements already in place with CUPE and OPSEU bargaining units.

“We are very pleased that both parties supported the new contract,” said Dr. Rosana Salvaterra, Medical Officer of Health.  “This means that the Board of Health has successfully reached new agreements with all of our unionized employees to ensure there will be no disruption to the public health services that keep our community safe and healthy.”
