Tummy Time

Tummy to Play 5 Times a Day

The Canadian Pediatric Society recommends that babies should always sleep on their backs to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).  Right from birth, when babies are awake, they need supervised Tummy Time to encourage muscle development and prevent flattening of the back of the head.  As they grow, Every Baby Needs Floor Time Every Day, which is a great opportunity for Tummy Time.
