Child Health Status, Peterborough City and County

Healthy child development lays the foundation for adult health and creates the blueprint for the next generation. Poor development increases the demand on public systems over the lifespan. When we assess the status of our children’s health and invest in appropriate early interventions, we can improve child outcomes and contribute to the overall health of our community.

This summary series, condensed from the REPORT ON CHILD HEALTH (2015), is intended to describe child health in Peterborough County (“Peterborough”).  For more information on references, data sources, and methodology, please contact the Epidemiologist at Peterborough Public Health.
