Alcohol & Other Drugs

We live in a drug using society and children need help in navigating this.  It is important that parents and caregivers learn how to talk realistically with their children about alcohol and other drugs. Teens and younger children need to be taught to respect medications and other substances.

During a pregnancy, a baby is exposed to everything a mother takes into her body. Alcohol use during pregnancy can cause permanent and serious damage, as can other drugs. If you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, information and fast-access to treatment are available to support you in having a healthy pregnancy and baby.
