Yes, kids can cook! Cooking is an important life skill that sets
kids up to enjoy healthy eating!

“You’re the chef” (YTC) is a cooking program designed for children in grades 1-6 to gain skills and confidence to prepare healthy and tasty recipes.  “You’re the chef” highlights vegetables, fruit, and the importance of drinking water.

These cooking classes for kids are provided by early years educators through childcare centres in the city and county of Peterborough. Peterborough Public Health provides training for interested licenced child care centres.

Access the You’re the Chef recipes, for your child to make with you.

For information on “You’re the Chef” training, resources, or equipment lending kits for childcare educators, call 705-743-1000 ext 316.

Have fun in the kitchen with your kids!
