COVID-19: Vaccine Information

Spring Dose for Eligible Residents:

Eligible residents who have NOT received a COVID-19 vaccine within the last 6 months are recommended to receive a dose this Spring. Eligible residents include:

  • Adults 65 years of age or older
  • Adult residents of long-term care homes or other senior congregate living settings (ex. Retirement residences)
  • Those 55 years of age or older who identify as First nations, Métis, or Inuit and their non-Indigenous household members who are 55 years of age or older
  • Those 6 months of age or older who are moderately to severely immunocompromised (due to underlying condition or treatment)
    • Speak with your healthcare provider if you are uncertain about your health status and eligibility
  • All residents over the age of 6 months who have never received a COVID-19 vaccine are eligible.

All other residents not currently eligible to receive a COVID 19 vaccine dose in Spring 2024 are asked to wait for further guidance from the Ministry of Health closer to the Fall.

Peterborough Public Health will be offering a Novavax XBB 12+ clinic as well as an under 5 years of age clinic (Pfizer XBB or Moderna XBB will be available) for eligible residents only in May 2024.  To book an appointment please visit our online Appointment Booking System.

Out of Province COVID-19 Vaccinations

If you received a dose of a COVID-19 vaccination in a different province or outside  of Canada and wish to have it registered please contact Peterborough Public Health through one of the following options:

  1. Complete the online registration form here: Registry for Out of Province Vaccination OR
  2. Email immunizationrecords@peterboroughpublichealth.ca

Please provide the following details:

  • Name, phone number, and email address
  • Reason for calling or emailing
  • Brand of vaccine received
  • Date dose(s) had been administered

NOTE: it may take up to 90 days for your information to be reviewed, approved and registered in the Ontario Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 Vaccine Management System (COVax). You will receive notification once your information has been entered and successfully processed.
